Pollinade Tablets infuse your bird bath with electrolytes. These absorbent clay tiles are loaded with essential salts and minerals. Partially submerge the Pollinade Tablet in your bird bath or in a pan of water to gently add beneficial salts into the water for bees, butterflies, and birds. Male butterflies need minerals to successfully mate with females so they are especially attracted to the blocks. All animals, including bees, need salts to maintain muscle and nerve function.
If you wish, your Pollinade Tablet can be reloaded with nutrients every month using a solution of 1lb pink salt or sea salt to 1.5 gallons of water. Regular table salt is not recommended because it contains fillers and anti-clumping agents.
1. Allow your mineral block to dry out before you reload it.
2. Dissolve the salt in water
3. Soak the clay block until it stops bubbling (about 30 minutes)
4. Allow it to dry in the sun and then place it back in the bird bath.
